April 14, 2024 - SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Wichita Wind Surge continued their offensive power display in an 8-7 loss in the series finale with the Springfield Cardinals at Hammons Stadium. Carson McCusker left the yard for his first home run of the year in the top of the second. The two-run shot went the opposite way to give Wichita a 1-0 lead, marking the fifth straight contest in which the Wind Surge was the first team to score. April 13, 2024 - SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-The Wichita Wind Surge are 1-7 after a 5-3 loss to the Springfield Cardinals at Hammons Field. The Cardinals collected four runs in the bottom of the first inning and rode the wave to their best season-opening winning streak in franchise history. The first inning home runs that have become common for Wichita maintained their status in this one. Wichita Swept in Doubleheader After Leading Early in Both Games

April 12, 2024 - SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-The Wichita Wind Surge are 1-6 after getting swept in a doubleheader on the road with the Springfield Cardinals. The final scores for both games were 3-1 in the matinee match and 10-2 in the nightcap at Hammons Field. Emmanuel Rodriguez continued his hot season and series at the plate with a leadoff triple to right center field in Game 1. Wind Surge Fall in Extras Despite Home Run Trio Making a Comeback

April 11, 2024 - SPRINGFIELD, MO - The Wichita Wind Surge dropped to 1-4 after a 7-6 extra-inning loss in 10 to the Springfield Cardinals. Chandler Redmond singled to right field to score the extra-runner R.J. Yeager from second and cap off a wild night at Hammons Field. Carson McCusker chopped a single to right field in the top of the first inning.
