January 16, 2021 - KENNEWICK, WA - Tri-City Americans forward Sasha Mutala has signed an amateur tryout agreement today with the Colorado Eagles, AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, for the team's upcoming camp.
The six-foot and 200-pound forward was selected by the Avalanche 140th overall in the 2019 NHL Draft and has spent all three years of his WHL career with the Americans. During the 2019-20 season, Mutala led Tri-City in scoring with 28 goals and 39 assists in 62 games.

January 14, 2021 - PORTLAND, OR - Fifteen Portland Winterhawks are listed on NHL opening night rosters for the 2020-21 regular season. Among WHL teams, Portland has the second most alumni starting the season in the NHL.
The Winterhawks are represented on 13 of the 31 NHL teams. The Columbus Blue Jackets and Nashville Predators each have two roster players with Winterhawks connections.

January 14, 2021 - Former Kelowna Rockets captain, Cal Foote, made his NHL debut last night with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Paired with veteran blueliner Ryan McDonagh, Foote was +2 on the night in 10:59 of ice time.
Foote, 22, spent three full seasons patrolling the blueline for the Rockets between 2015 and 2018.
He appeared in 202 regular-season games for Kelowna during his WHL career, posting 163 points (33G, 130A), 123 penalty minutes and a +86 plus-minus rating.
