Whitecaps Complete Weekend Sweep of Connecticut

January 20, 2019 - In their final regular-season home game at sold-out TRIA Rink, the Minnesota Whitecaps took a 9-0 win over the Connecticut Whale on Sunday afternoon. The Whitecaps sold out all eight of their home games in their inaugural season and currently sit in first place with a 10-4 record, increasing their likelihood of hosting a home playoff game. Sunday's Riveters-Pride Game Postponed

January 19, 2019 - The NWHL today announced that the game between the Metropolitan Riveters and Boston Pride scheduled to take place in New Jersey on Sunday, Jan. 20 at 2 p.m. has been postponed. The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Essex County from noon today until 6 p.m. Sunday. The game is being postponed with a priority for the safety of the fans, staff and players, including the players on the Pride planning to travel to New Jersey on the weekend. Menke's Five-Point Weekend Earns Her VEDA Player of the Week

January 14, 2019 - Minnesota Whitecaps forward Amy Menke exploded for two goals and three assists this weekend for the Whitecaps, earning her VEDA Player of the Week honors. In Saturday's game at a sold-out Warrior Ice Arena in Boston, she set up Kendall Coyne Schofield, who got the Whitecaps on the board just 3:25 into the contest. After Boston had taken a 2-1 lead, she knotted the score at two with her first goal of the weekend, an impressive individual effort, as she circled around the zone before firing home. Whitecaps Get Back in Win Column with 4-1 Victory over Whale

January 13, 2019 - After falling 5-4 to the Boston Pride on Saturday night, the Minnesota Whitecaps rebounded with a 4-1 win over the Connecticut Whale on Sunday afternoon at Terry Conners Rink in Stamford. Chris Higgins, a naval veteran, performed the ceremonial puck drop for the Whale's Military Appreciation Day.
