With the win, the Monsters' third consecutive victory, Cleveland is now 33-26-7-1 overall this season and with 74 points currently occupies fourth place in the AHL's North Division standings, in position for the division's final playoff spot with nine games remaining in the regular season. Blue Jackets Reassign Goaltender Matiss Kivlenieks to Monsters

March 23, 2019 - CLEVELAND - The AHL's Cleveland Monsters announced Saturday that the team's NHL affiliate, the Columbus Blue Jackets, reassigned goaltender Matiss Kivlenieks to Cleveland from the ECHL's Kalamazoo Wings. A 6'2", 184 lb., left-catching native of Riga, Latvia, Kivlenieks, 22, posted a record of 4-4-0 with one shutout, a 3.71 goals-against average (GAA) and a .873 save percentage (S%) in 14 appearances for the Monsters this season and went 5-3-0 with a 2.71 GAA and a .923 S% in eight appearances for Kalamazoo this year. ...
