San Antonio Commanders Score Late to Beat Salt Lake 19-15

March 23, 2019 - SAN ANTONIO - Trey Williams' 36-yard touchdown reception and Greg Ward Jr.'s two-point conversion catch with less than six minutes remaining helped lift San Antonio (5-2) to a 19-15 victory over Salt Lake (2-5) on Saturday night in front of an Alliance-record 30,345 fans at the Alamodome. Williams took a short pass from reserve quarterback Marquise Williams - who entered the game in the fourth quarter for injured starter Logan Woodside - sprinted down the right sideline and leaped into the end zone for the go-ahead score.... Apollos first in The Alliance to clinch a playoff spot after 36-6 rout of Legends

March 23, 2019 - The Orlando Apollos are a playoff team. Led by running back De'Veon Smith's three rushing touchdowns, Orlando beat the Atlanta Legends at Georgia State Stadium in Atlanta 36-6 Saturday afternoon, clinching a spot in The Alliance of American Football's inaugural Eastern Conference championship game. The Apollos are now 6-1 on the season. The Apollos' next home game is Saturday, April 6, when the Apollos host the San Diego Fleet. March 21, 2019 - The Memphis Express made headlines when they signed former Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Johnny Manziel this past week. The San Antonio Commanders held his territorial rights but opted not to sign him. Memphis, at 1-5, had the worst record in the Alliance of American Football giving them the next shot to sign him.
