Drive Earn Third-Straight Win by Defeating Knicks

WHITE PLAINS, NY - The Grand Rapids Drive (4-2) extended their winning streak to three by defeating the Westchester Knicks (1-3) in a back-and-forth Monday night game with a final score of 96-94. The Drive trailed the Knicks by as many as 16 points in the first half, but Bone picked up the momentum late in the third quarter by shooting 4-4 from beyond the arc, giving Grand Rapids their first lead of the night. Tayler Thompson Returns to Solar Bears

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Solar Bears have announced that forward Tayler Thompson has been added to the club's roster. Thompson, 26, had originally agreed to terms with Orlando for the 2019-20 season on Aug. 6 before signing with Czech Republic club Piráti Chomutov in August. In order to protect Thompson's rights under ECHL rules, the Solar Bears suspended the forward on Sept. 29 prior to the opening of training camp, rendering Thompson unavailable for the first 40 days of the season. BASEBALL Pacific Coast League: The Triple-A PCL's new Wichita-based team, which is the league's relocated New Orleans Baby Cakes team, announced it will be called the Wichita Wind Surge when it starts play in 2020 at a new stadium under construction. The city had a Triple-A team in the former American Association called the Wichita Aeros from 1970 through 1984; a Double-A Texas League team called the Wichita Wranglers from 1987 through 2007; and an independent American Association team called the Wichita Wingnuts from 2008 through 2018.
